Industrial Property

The Superintendence of Industry and Commerce is the national authority in charge of administering the Public Registry of Industrial Property. In the development of this function, the deputy superintendence Industrial Property is in charge of deciding applications for the registration of trademarks and slogans, applications for the deposit of trade name or a label or business sign, declaring or recognizing appellations of origin, processing applications for patents of invention, deciding patents of utility models, applications for industrial designs, and the registration of layouts of integrated circuits. It is also in charge of promoting the protection of innovation and the transfer of knowledge, through the development of activities of orientation and divulgation of Industrial Property.

Pilar María Goyeneche Carvajal

Lawyer from Sergio Arboleda University (Bogotá, 2003); a specialist in Commercial Law from the University of Paris II (Paris, 2006); an LLM in International Business from the University of Paris II (Paris, 2007); and an LLM with an emphasis on International Commercial Law from the University of Bonn (Bonn, 2013). She has over 18 years of experience in management positions in the public and private sectors.
