If you leverage your brand, designs, creative works, or inventions through intellectual property, this is your chance to achieve global recognition.

The World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO), the United Nations agency dedicated to promoting innovation and creativity, has officially opened applications for the WIPO Global Awards 2026. This prestigious program recognizes startups and small- to medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) that leverage intellectual property (IP) to grow their businesses while making a positive impact globally.

Entrepreneurs from all sectors and regions are invited to apply between January 15 and March 31, 2026. Submissions are accepted in Arabic, Chinese, Spanish, French, English, and Russian.

In 2026, 11 businesses will be recognized: 10 winners representing diverse economic sectors, 1 thematic award in the area of Sports and Intellectual Property, and 2 Special Mentions honoring the Best Female Entrepreneur and the Best Young Entrepreneur.
