The Superintendence of Industry and Commerce (SIC), represented by Nubia Milena Pinzón Ibáñez from the Deputy Superintendency for Industrial Property, participated in the “Regional Training for National Coordinators of Latin American and Caribbean Countries on Communication Techniques for Selected Projects under the Development Agenda,” held in Guatemala City, Guatemala, from September 16 to 20, 2025.
SIC contributed to the European Patent Office's (EPO) "Zero Hunger" project through its Deputy for Industrial Property. The contribution detailed how digital technologies (such as Artificial Intelligence (AI), the Internet of Things (IoT), drones, and robotics) are transforming Colombia's agricultural sector to address challenges like climate change and food security.
Colombia, represented by SIC's Deputy for Industrial Property, participated in the Summit on Best Practices of the Inventor Assistance Program (IAP), organized by the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) on September 16-17, 2025, in Geneva, Switzerland.
Ms. Edna Milena Bautista Rodríguez represented the Deputy for Industrial Property and presented Colombia's key results, strategies, and achievements in implementing the IAP to WIPO Member States.

The Superintendence of Industry and Commerce (SIC), represented by Dr. Diego Solano Osorio, Advisor to the Superintendent, actively participated in the 2025 Latin American and Caribbean Competition Forum (FLACC), held from 7 to 9 October 2025 at the Central Bank headquarters in Asunción, Paraguay.
Según la Organización Mundial de la Salud, la telemedicina es la práctica de la asistencia médica mediante la utilización de comunicaciones interactivas audiovisuales y de datos. Abarca la atención médica, el diagnóstico, la consulta y el tratamiento, así como la educación y la transferencia de datos médicos.
La práctica odontológica requiere un número considerable de instrumentos, aparatos y tecnologías que han venido modificándose vertiginosamente a través del tiempo. De los anteriores se destacan, por grupos, instrumentos que funcionan con energía cinética y lumínica (ultrasonidos, lámparas de fotocurado y láser). También existen instrumentos para la práctica de la ortodoncia, como los brackets y fórceps para su decementación, alambres, pinzas y bandas.
Entre las enfermedades respiratorias que se presentan con mayor frecuencia y con delicadas consecuencias están la neumonía, la bronquiolitis, la laringotraqueitis y el virus sincicial respiratorio (VSR), siendo este último una de las más graves infecciones respiratorias agudas (IRA) dentro de la población infantil menor de 5 años.
