15 junio, 2023.- Con bombos y platillos, propios de las fiestas del San Pedro en el Huila, fue celebrado el cumpleaños número ocho de la Casa del Consumidor de Bienes y Servicios en la ciudad de Neiva. 

La Casa fue inaugurada el día 25 de mayo del año 2015 en el Centro Comercial Popular Los Comuneros, oficina 4038, ubicado en la Carrera 2 No 8-05. 

Durante el transcurrir de 8 años se han brindado más de 175 mil orientaciones a usuarios consumidores que han presentado inconformidades en el marco de una relación de consumo.  

• La SIC estableció que MOVISTAR, rechazó las solicitudes de portabilidad hacia otros operadores, argumentando que los solicitantes no eran los titulares de las líneas móviles o que las mismas se encontraban en mora.
• Adicionalmente, se determinó que la empresa de telefonía respondió de forma inexacta e incompleta parte de la información que le fue requerida por la Superintendencia de Industria y Comercio en el trámite de la actuación administrativa.

The Superintendence of Industry and Commerce (SIC), as national authority for the Protection of Personal Data, launched an investigation in order to establish whether the application "ChatGPT", owned by the company OPENAI, complies with Colombian regulations regarding the protection of personal data, which is established in the Statutory Law 1581 of 2012. 

Between May 8 and 12, 2023, in Sydney, Australia, the annual ICPEN meeting took place, where international representatives of consumer protection agencies, experts and business actors, among others, met with the main objective of exchanging best practices on consumer protection issues.  

What is ICPEN?  

The Superintendence of Industry and Commerce SIC, as National Authority of Consumer Protection, opened an investigation to the mobile phone service providers “Comunicación Celular - COMCEL” and Colombia “Telecomunicaciones – Movistar”. 

The Superintendence of Industry and Commerce, as national consumer protection authority, through Resolution 23273, sanctioned PROMOTORA CALLE 47, with a fine of 1.508.000.000, (USD $400.00O). Also, PLANO CONSTRUCTIVO will have to pay a fine of $696,000,000 (USD $155.000).
