Bogotá D.C., 27 de noviembre de 2020. La Superintendencia de Industria y Comercio, en su rol de autoridad nacional de protección al consumidor, fue elegida unánimemente como Presidenta de la Red de Consumo Seguro y Salud (RCSS), de la Organización de Estados Americanos (OEA) para el periodo 2021-2022. 

The Agreement has a duration of 5 years and represents all the work carried out by the SIC in order to achieve good partnerships that allow to strengthen its work as an Industrial Property Office.

The Superintendence of Industry and Commerce (SIC), in its role as national authority for the registration of industrial property, signed an Enhanced Cooperation Agreement with the European Patent Office - EPO. 

The recommendation seeks to prioritise the protection of health, life and integrity of consumers over the fulfilment or validation of formal requirements, and to make irrelevant the defence of the exporter who claims not to know the safety requirements at the export destination.
