• La sociedad WADANA FINANCE COLOMBIA S. A. S. recibió una multa de  $628.720.000 por cobrar tasas de interés que superaban los límites legales. 

• La SIC pudo establecer que la empresa no informó de manera veraz a los consumidores de los préstamos la tasa de interés efectiva anual aplicable y la tasa de interés máxima legal vigente al momento de celebración de los créditos, así como tampoco enumeró y describió las garantías aplicables. 

The Superintendence of Industry and Commerce, as the National Consumer Protection Authority of Colombia, issued an administrative order to a tourist agency named GRUPO SAN GERMÁN EXPRESS, who offered packages that included charter flight transportation to different destinations, mainly located in the Colombian Pacific. 

This action was adopted in response to the unexpected announcement, made on September 14, 2023, through the company's website, regarding the suspension of commercial activities in tourist services, including the air transport.

The Superintendence of Industry and Commerce (SIC), as National Authority for Consumer Protection, imposed a fine of $284,200,000 COP (approximately $72,820.51 USD) against WIN SPORTS S.A.S. and ordered them to inform consumers about their terms and conditions, the circumstances that may lead to service interruptions or latency issues, as well as to include a risk management procedure to identify and assess potential failures and implement mechanisms to prevent them. 

In a significant exhibition of international collaboration, a successful webinar titled "Towards a Safety Future: Innovation in Product Safety Policies and Effective Recalls" was held on August 24th, 2023. The event, organized by the Strategic Alliances Working Group of the OAS Consumer Safety and Health Network (CSHN), currently chaired by the Superintendence of Industry and Commerce (SIC), brought together distinguished experts and international leaders in consumer protection and product safety.
