La RNPC superó las 200000 atenciones en el 2022

Ya son 203.732 las personas que han sido atendidas durante el año 2022 por la Red Nacional de Protección al Consumidor a través de sus programas Casas del Consumidor y Rutas del Consumidor, orientaciones que han estado encaminadas a ayudar a los ciudadanos a resolver las dudas en sus compras de bienes y servicios, pero también han estado dirigidas a que los ciudadanos conozcan sus derechos y deberes como consumidores.

The Superintendence of Industry and Commerce (SIC), in its role as National Authority for Competition Protection, opened an investigation to AVIANCA and PRICE RES for the alleged breach of the conditions imposed by the SIC through Resolution No. 60515 of August 22, 2018, which conditionally authorized the merger operation presented by these companies so that they would operate jointly in the intermediation market of commercialization and reservation of tour packages nationally and internationally.

The Superintendence of Industry and Commerce, as National Authority for Consumer Protection, sanctioned DIRECTV COLOMBIA, with a fine of COP $245,000,000 for failing to comply with the right of users to have their requests and complaints addressed and resolved in a timely manner.

The Superintendence of Industry and Commerce (SIC), in its role as National Authority for Competition Protection, sanctioned RICHARD ALEXANDER CASTRO ARTEAGA and DIEGO ADOLFO ROBLES BOLAÑOS with a fine of COP $101,508,684 for bid rigging in 15 different selection processes carried out between 2013 and 2017 in the construction sector, in different cities of the Department of Nariño.  

The SIC also sanctioned JONATHAN IVÁN ASCUNTAR PORTILLA and JAMES ANDRÉS ASCUNTAR PORTILLA for having collaborated and facilitated these anticompetitive agreements.

The Superintendence of Industry and Commerce (SIC), as National Authority for Consumer Protection, executed twenty-four (24) administrative inspections in establishments that provide parking services, in three crowded areas of Bogotá. This operation aimed to verify the compliance to provide information on the conditions of service, such as date, time, modality, site conditions, payment systems, among others, as well as the requirements to guarantee the safekeeping and adequate protection of vehicles.
