The Superintendence of Industry and Commerce (SIC), as National Authority for Consumer Protection, opened an investigation against PEPSICO ALIMENTOS COLOMBIA, for allegedly not providing truthful information to consumers regarding the content of the product "Mixture of salted peanuts, almonds and cashews".

The SIC is taking action against PEPSICO ALIMENTOS COLOMBIA for marketing a product that, according to the package, is a combination of salted peanuts, almonds and cashews; however, at the bottom of the package, it is informed that it only contains peanuts and almonds, excluding cashews. This information could be confusing for consumers, since they would not be certain of the product actual content.

If the violation is proven against PEPSICO ALIMENTOS COLOMBIA, the SIC may impose fines of up to COP $2,000 legal minimum monthly wages.
