Remarkable updates and advices on econsumer.gov

consumer.gov  is a virtual platform where the consumer (national or international) is able to report international scams and learn about other steps to combat fraud, helping out the protection agencies around the world to spot trends and work together to prevent international scams and frauds.  

The Federal Trade Commission (FTC) from United States, as authority in charge of this platform, has announce important updates to the content on the econsumer.gov  site, involving 2021 complaint trends and advices on cryptocurrency scams.  

2021 Complaint Trends: 

  • Econsumer.gov Complaint Trend Data shows that Online Shopping, Miscellaneous Investments, and Business Imposters were the top three reported scams of 2021.  Report international scams to econsumer.gov.
