The Superintendence of Industry and Commerce (SIC), in its role as National Authority for Competition Protection, imposed a fine of 1.4 million USD to SCHLUMBERGER SURENCO when it was demonstrated that, through its branch in Colombia, it materialized a series of practices contrary to the free competition regime, by having prevented the free circulation of invoices from its suppliers.

The Superintendence of Industry and Commerce (SIC), in its role as National Authority for Consumer Protection, sanctioned the company UNILEVER ANDINA COLOMBIA with a fine of 201.000 USD, after concluding that the company made misleading claims and advertising in different commercial pieces issued during the sales campaign of its products: "DOVE COMPLETE RECONSTRUCTION" and "POND'S AGE MIRACLE".

Bogotá D.C., 30 de junio de 2021. La Superintendencia de Industria y Comercio, en su rol de autoridad nacional de protección de datos personales, sancionó a las Cámaras de Comercio de Cúcuta, Villavicencio y Montería por infringir varias disposiciones de las normas sobre protección de datos personales (Ley 1581 de 2012 y Decreto 1074 de 2015), las sanciones de los tres entes camerales ascienden a $225.109.600 (DOSCIENTOS VEINTICINCO MILLONES CIENTO NUEVE MIL SEISCIENTOS PESOS).

El 27 de junio se celebra en Colombia el Día Nacional del Café, fecha que rinde homenaje a este grano, a quienes lo producen y a la organización que los representa, la Federación Nacional de Cafeteros[1]. Es por esto que la Superintendencia de Industria y Comercio quiere exaltar la notoriedad de algunas marcas relacionadas con esta bebida insignia para los colombianos.
