SIC imposed measures to protect consumers affected by the suspension of activities of San Germán Express Group.

The Superintendence of Industry and Commerce, as the National Consumer Protection Authority of Colombia, issued an administrative order to a tourist agency named GRUPO SAN GERMÁN EXPRESS, who offered packages that included charter flight transportation to different destinations, mainly located in the Colombian Pacific. 

This action was adopted in response to the unexpected announcement, made on September 14, 2023, through the company's website, regarding the suspension of commercial activities in tourist services, including the air transport. 

Therefore, the order was issued immediately to prevent any important impact on the rights of consumers who had scheduled flights. Non-compliance with the issued order could result, after an investigation, in a fine of up to one thousand (1,000) Legal Monthly Minimum Wages.
